Our Summer Work Experience may be right for you!

Are you 16 – 24 years old and want to earn money while learning on the job?

1. Register as a program participant and provide all application documents prior to May 14, 2021 if you live in Fayette, Lauderdale or Tipton Counties 19,
2. If you live in Shelby County register by June 11, 2021
3. Attend workforce skills preparation prior to work assignment
4. Dye to varying school schedules, work assigned position and hours from May  31, 2021 – August 13, 2021 in Fayette, Lauderdale and Tipton; in Shelby County the assignments are from June 28 - August 11, 2021.
5. Be positive, prepared and ready to learn at your job site!

• Earn $1,700 to $5,700 for participation in full program
• Gain valuable workplace skills and hands on experience with a local company
• Access to all services of WIOA program including mentoring, career counseling and achievement incentives 
• Virtual working assignments are being requested from local companies to assist with pandemic impact
• Transportation assistance and additional support items may be available for youth needing to work physically at a job location 

Shelby County Summer Program Enrollment: Enroll by June 11, 2021

Shelby County Summer Program Employment Prep: June 16 – June 18 2021

Employment Assignments: June 21  - August 11, 2021  

Rural Program Enrollment: Enroll by May 14, 2021

Employment Prep: March 20 – May 31, 2021

Employment Assignments: June 1,  - August 11, 2021   

Wage: $12/hr
