An Individual Training Account (ITA) is an account established by the Greater Memphis American Job Centers on behalf of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) participants to assist them in the attainment of Training Services.
Occupational skills training for which an ITA is granted is limited to the occupations identified as High Priority in the Greater Memphis Local Workforce Development Area. Accordingly, an ITA will only be approved for occupational skills training programs that are available on Tennessee's Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) and locally approved by the local Career Services Committee.
WIOA Training Services, including ITAs, are not entitlements. Selection of ITA applicants for enrollment into the ITA program is the responsibility of American Job Center staff and the need for training must be indicated through the assessment process and documented in case notes and the IEP/ISS.
